A graduate student in astronomy at the University of California at Berkeley has put together a video simulation depicting four exoplanets orbiting the young star HR 8799.
Jason Wang, a Berkeley member of the Nexus for Exoplanet System Science (NExSS), a group sponsored by NASA to promote exoplanet study, used direct images of the planets taken at Hawaii’s W.M. Keck Observatory over seven years to create the animation showing the planets orbiting the star.
