Is you touch pad / keyboard on your iPhone not working? Try to do a hard reset. You not lose any data or anything is bascially hard reboot which closes apps and frees up memory. To do a hard reset:
Hold down the power/sleep button and home button simultaneously until the apple logo appears. Then just wait for the phone to boot into your lock screen.
