Air Hogs Atmosphere Today we review the Air Hogs Atmosphere. This is NOT a remote controlled toy, rather it is a flying sphere that hovers over your hand or any object that you place under it. You get a charging base (needs 6 AA batteries) and the flying sphere.

Operation is very simple, turn on the sphere and then watch it hover. Place your hand under the Atmosphere and it goes higher. Remove your hand and it goes lower. One word of caution – beware of the blades! To get the thing flying you need to stick your fingers inside the Atmosphere to turn it on. You then have 2-3 seconds before the blades start going, to get your fingers out. Same caution when catching it – don’t stick your fingers inside. The toy is rated for ages 8+ and just be sure you warn your kids about the kids and how to handle the Atmosphere without getting hurt.

Pretty simple and straightforward toy. If you like flying toys, but don’t want to deal with remote controls, the Atmosphere provides another option. The Atmosphere sells for about $25.
