New Volvo XC40 India launched for Rs 39.9 lakh

Volvo has launched its newest small SUV, the XC40, in India at a price of about Rs 39.90 lakh. This is said to be the entry point to Volvo’s SUV range, and this XC40 will initially be available in a single variant which is R-Design. The Swedish carmaker has started to take the orders for a booking amount of Rs 5 Lakh.

With this new launch by Volvo, the company now expects to sell the first lot of 200 cars before the launch itself. Volvo has already begun to list the car on the Indian website, and it has unveiled in Milan which is about a few months back. This new XC40 is said to be the first model of the Volvo Cars which have a new modular vehicle architecture(CMA), and it will be underpinned on all other upcoming cars in this new 40 series which also includes electrified vehicles.

According to the Managing Director of Volvo Car India, they said that the company is expecting that all the first lot of 200 units will be pre-booked before the launch as the SUV promises to bring the freshness in the segment with many hosts of features which is unique to the XC40. Customers can also reach out to the dealers to pre-book the Volvo XC40. The specifications price along with the features will be announced on the day of the launch, and the bookings can be secured at our dealerships which are before the launch.

When it comes to the technology, the XC40 will be bringing the award-winning safety connectivity, and it is with infotainment technologies which are known from the new 90 and 60 series cars in the small SUV segment. It is like the larger siblings; the XC40 will be highlighting the transformational effect of the new, in-house which was developed in the technologies on the brand and profitability.

These type of technologies make the XC40 as one of the best equipped small premium SUVs on the market. It comes with the feature of safety and driver assistance which features on the XC 40 which include Volvo Cars Pilot Assist system. Run-off-Road, City Safety, and mitigation. This also comes with brake support and with a 360 degree Camera which helps the drivers to manoeuvre into the car which is into tight parking spaces.

This car also offers a radically new approach regarding storage which is inside the car. The design of the car provides XC40 drivers who are among other things along with more functional storage space in the doors and under the seats. It will be launched with a D4 diesel four-cylinder engine which produces 190 HP and 400 Nm of torque.
