Samsung Galaxy Note 9 spotted on the FCC website, could be launched soon

Previously, many rumours and leaks had suggested that Samsung is working on it new smartphone named the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and will be released soon. Some renders also revealed important information about the device’s expected specification and features. Now, a new report has confirmed that the Galaxy Note 9 does exist and it is coming soon. As per the latest report, the US Federal Communication Commission (FCC) has approved a Samsung device which carries the model number SM-N960F. This will be Samsung’s upcoming and most anticipated device the Galaxy Note 9. Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8 was carrying the model number SM-N950 when it got the FCC certification, and now this model number is in line with this number. Apart from that, the FCC website informed that the device has a stylus pen. Which further confirmed that it would be the Galaxy Note 9.

Talking about the release date, it is expected that the device will be unveiled in mid of July. Because, the Galaxy Note 8 arrived the FCC on 31st2017 then after around one month, on 23rd August Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 8. So, Samsung may follow same launch pattern.  Some old report and leaks informed that the Galaxy Note 9 Unpacked event could be held on 2nd August or 9th August. 

The FCC website has not revealed much information about the device. It only revealed that the new Samsung device is coming and it supports different LTE bands, Wi-Fi and NFC. The FCC LTE verifications have informed that the model number SM-N960F also has two more models, i.e., SM-N960F/DS and SM-N960X. As per the sources, among these two models, one will be a dual-SIM variant, and another one will be a factory-unlocked version. Both the variants will be sold by Samsung instead through the carriers. 

Talking about the expected features and specifications of the device, the Galaxy Note 9 will come with advanced hardware and may carry the same design that the Galaxy Note 8 has. Some rumours also suggested that the Note 9 may carry a large 6.38-inch display which is bigger than the Note 8’s 6.32-inch display. It is also expected that the smartphone will support in-display fingerprint scanner technology, but others claim that the Samsung will not be able to attain the technology in time. 

The device may come in three different storage variants, i.e., a64GB variant, a 246GB variant and a 512GB variant. The high-end variant, i.e., the model with 512GB ROM will only be available in South Korea and China. A massive 4,000mAh battery will back the smartphone.  The Galaxy Note 9 which is for the US market will be powered by the Exynos 9810 processor and will have a 6GB RAM. There will be another model of Galaxy Note 9 which may be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC. The devices will support fast charging, Bixby 2.0 Gray G Lee, AI technology and an upgraded S Pen. All the models will function on Android Oreo version 8.1. Now, all are waiting to know the real launch date of the Galaxy Note 9.
