JVC to launch wireless Android Auto receiver at CES, 2018

Google sometime in 2017 had mentioned the concept of a wireless Android Auto with the audience. While it did come across as an exciting news, the search giant hasn’t provided any further information regarding the same since then. However, it seems like that is about to change. According to a report published by Digital Trends, JVC has officially announced that they plan on showing off devices at CES, 2018 which are not only highly advanced by nature but also extend support for something they described as, “wireless connectivity for Android Auto.”

JVC also went ahead and provided additional details regarding the same. As per their announcement, the device is expected to extend support for Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and will be featuring a 720p screen. The annual CES event of 2018 is scheduled to kick-start on January 7. Even though, JVC will be unveiled this device at CES, 2018, the chances of it being available in the market immediately are low.

Devices which are announced at CES usually take their own sweet time to be shipped for public sale. JVC published a press release regarding this device, however, they haven’t been able to provide a lot of information regarding the same. Interested purchasers should be aware of the fact that this device is not expected to come for a cheap price. In comparison to its competitor – the Alpine Apple CarPlay wireless receive comes for a price of $700.

You can expect JVC’s Android Auto receiver to fall in the same price bracket. Many users feel that simply plugging Android smartphones into their automobiles is a convenient and cheaper option than going wireless. However, if you have money to spare then there is no better experience than going wireless. Imagine being free of the tyranny of cords and dongles.
