Some hackers suggests that Nintendo has overwrite the code on firmware
Nintendo Switch hackers, a couple of months ago, had suggested that the gaming console consisted of a secret emulator, which was specifically designed to enable its owners with access to NES Golf. This was functional only on July 11th, the date wherein Satoru Iwata, former President of Nintendo and game’s programmer died. According to a report by Kotaku, the hackers have now gone to say that Nintendo has overwritten the codes on these firmware update. This change took place after the game received the 4.0.0 firmware update.

This information arrives after an update made to the Switchbrew.org website. The revisions were apparently created with the intention to revise codes gutted to launch the game. A post on the official website reads, “Flog was stubbed: correct code for starting it was removed from the home menu, and all code was overwritten with garbage.
Thus, even attempts to launch it manually will result in loader returning error OXA09.” The report by Kotaku goes on to note how “Flog,” if spelled backward would read, “golf.” This is believed to be a portion of Nintendo Switch’s home menu code. It is what was dedicated to emulating NES Gold when several conditions depicted by the game developer were met.
Players would be able to make use of Iwata’s Nintendo Direct sign-off gesture through the use of Joy-Con on July 11th, 2017. The game would consequently get booted up and even be playable through the use of motion controls. The Easter Egg was perceived as being an intentional tribute to the late Nintendo icon, Iwata.
Surprisingly, Nintendo did not provide any comment on the matter. They refused to talk about it all together. There was a time wherein the game could only be accessible on an older version, and the game developer had made no information regarding their plans available to the public. It seems like they have decided to eliminate Flog from the gaming console thoroughly.
