Unless you’ve been living under an infinity stone, you may have noticed that Spider-man is in the new Captain America: Civil War film. While many Marvel fans are thrilled to finally see the web-slinger joining the Avengers onscreen, many non-fans are probably wondering why he’s even there to begin with.
The video above explains how Marvel got the rights to use Spider-man for the new film, and what series of events led Sony to give him up – an epic tale befitting for our friendly neighborhood spider.
