Can you use CDMA phone on GSM network? (Verizon/Sprint/T-Mobile/AT&T)
In this video, we take a close look how CDMA phones differ from GSM phones and whether
you can use CDMA phones on GSM network (and vice versa).
Verizon and Sprint = CDMA
T-Mobile and AT&T = GSM
You can’t use CDMA phones on GSM networks (unless they are world phones with SIM card support).
T-Mobile and AT&T use different 3G frequencies so there’s a problem there too.
For Globe-trotters, your best bet is AT&T as they are on 1900Mhz for 3G/HSPA+, meaning you can
swap out SIM cards and get full voice/3G/4G data anywhere else in the world you go.
