5-year-old Teylor Kobernik’s first day of kindergarten became frightening when he was mistakenly put into a car with a daycare employee rather than on the bus home he was supposed to take. Teylor cried the entire trip to Adventures Unlimited Childcare and demanded to talk to his mom, who was terrified when her son didn’t arrive home as planned. Eventually his mother, Windy Holm, and officials at Morningside Elementary School were able to figure out where Teylor had wound up. The school district has acknowledged that the school was to blame for the incident and has apologized to Holm. Holm, who is considering placing Teylor in another school, plans to meet with the principal to discuss how the mix-up happened. School district administrators have said that they rechecked all student paperwork and are sure the mistake will not be repeated.
