5.11 Tac Vest: “Load Bearing Simplicity” by Nutnfancy04:33

If you’re looking for a tactical loadout system that will impress your airsoft buddies then the 5.11 VTAC LBE TACTICAL VEST is not it. It looks plain. But to the knowledgeable user, it is a wise platform which will adapt in high speed fashion to your loadout requirements. Some dudes want the SEAL, SAS, Delta Force, and “maxxed-out” load out look…completely ignoring or not understanding their REAL mission requirements. My LBE loadouts are always pure functional and mission tailored. Carrying any more bulk and weight then absolutely necessary is idiocy and guys will who do this quickly learn this (if they carry REAL ammo, weapon, knife, med kit, armor, water, etc loadouts…resulting in a 30+ pound loadout). The 5.11 VTAC Tactical Vest dispenses with “extraneous engineering” to give you a slim, lighweight, and functional MOLLE pouch foundation. For around $80 (less if you get a deal, price/models subject to discontinuance and change of course), you get an outstanding MOLLE platform in black, coyote brown, or olive drab colorations. The positives are many: light, high quality nylon webbing and clips, stiff and tough nylon mesh gives outstanding ventilation, precise MOLLE specification adherence, heavy duty YKK zipper (which does not unzip itself like other designs), hydration/armor panel pocket (back side only), hidden drag handle, interior pockets, and easy-enough adjustment. Another huge bonus: an uncluttered shoulder area that enables a clean and fast buttstock placement of your gun. Many big name tactical nylon makers stupidly ignore this requirement and it baffles me. Any downsides? Yes, a couple but they are more a functional of the type than quality or design faults: no armor panel can ride in front due to zipper design (also no side armor panel provision), no meaningful provision for web belt integration or water carrier is provided, pouches will be needed (additional cost), it rides best when balanced with rear pouches, and a user needing a big loadout may run out of space. In those cases it may be wise to upgrade to a full-on tactical LBE system but realize you will lose mobility and comfort in the added capabilities. The 5.11 Tactical Vest will be plenty capable for most civilian Sheepdogs, LEOs, and even many military operators. It offers an outstanding balance of “Firepower vs Mobility” ( in an affordable package that won’t break your budget. ///////////////////////// Nutnfancy Likability Scale: 9 out of 10 /////////////////////// Music: Derek Audette, original works,
