3D-Printing Ears For Children With Microtia

Published on September 9, 2017

While 3D-printing often seems like an overhyped waste of time, in certain contexts, it’s extremely useful and good. Like, for example, when it’s used to help children with physical challenges live semi-normal lives.

FutureHear 3D-prints lifelike ears for kids with Microtia, a condition that results in ear deformity in 1 in 6,000 children.

Very nice. Much better than using 3D-printing technology to home print plastic guns or dumbass Storm Trooper toys.
