3D Printer Explosion Killed Teenager?!04:33

We need to stop the media from misrepresenting information and creating fear around 3D printing. Today I read an article on a respected news outlet called “The Telegraph” in the UK that titled this article about a 3D printer exploding and killing a boy when really the article doesn’t show any evidence that the 3D printer was involved directly and even more disturbing proved that the actual explosion was caused by hair spray and gun cotton (flash paper) and really had nothing to do with it. Media outlets are creating titles like this as a click bait but people that don’t actually read the article walk away thinking 3D printers are dangerous machines. It’s like the whole 3D printed gun media scare all over again!

– The thermistor is actually the resistor that measures the temp, the part that gets hot is called the heater. I got the mixed up in the video but hopefully you still got it from the context.

▼ Questions & Answers ▼
Q) You got the names wrong for the components of the hot end.
A) I just realized this. When you’re talking freely sometimes things get jumbled up. The heater goes into the heater block and the thermister is the resistor that measures the temp and regulates the hot end.
