Lisa Gade reviews the latest refresh of the Dell Inspiron 13 7000, released in the summer of 2016. The 7000 series is the top of the Inspiron line, but the price for a well-equipped machine is relatively reasonable at $749.

This is a 13.3” 2-in-1 Windows 10 convertible with a 360 degree hinge and a 1920 x 1080 IPS touch screen. It weighs 3.68 lbs. (1.75 kg) and has an aluminum casing.

The laptop is available with Intel Skylake 6th generation Core i5-6200U and Core i7-6500U dual core, 15 watt CPUs with Intel HD 520 graphics. It has two DDR4 RAM slots and starts with 8 gigs of RAM. An M.2 256 gig SSD is standard and you can order it with a 512 gig SSD. It has a backlit keyboard and an infrared camera that works with Windows Hello facial recognition for login.
