We test out a Stabili-Shock rubber shotgun slug. These are used by both law enforcement and for military training. Nick, the shooter was shot by some of these in the Marines and said he thought he was really being shot. These are rated for “less than lethal” only at relatively low velocities. However, we wanted to demonstrate what happens if the slugs are loaded HOT, which is entirely possible. I want to stress the importance of following loading data and testing when loading less-than-lethal slugs. Even rubber can kill. The guys at Ballistic Products have loading data for all their loading components they sell.

Special thanks to Ballistic Products for allowing us to test these.

We have a couple more slugs we will be testing from them.

Also, I want to thank the folks at Visalia Sportsman Assoc. for allowing us to conduct our tests at their range.
