改オハイオ級原子力潜水艦：オハイオ級(1番艦から4番艦)の24基の弾道ミサイル発射筒のうち22基をトマホーク発射筒(154発)に、残りの2基を特殊部隊｢ネイビーシールズ｣のSEAL輸送潜水艇(SEAL Delivery Vehicle, SDV)が入るロックアウト・チェンバーに改造した巡航ミサイル潜水艦(SSGN)
KOTA KINABALU, Malaysia – The Ohio-class guided-missile submarine USS Ohio (SSGN-726) in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, for a port visit as part of its Indo-Asia-Pacific deployment Nov. 14, 2015.
The USS Ohio is the first of four Ohio-class guided-missile submarines. The Navy’s guided-missile submarines provide the Navy with unprecedented strike and special operation mission capabilities from a stealthy, clandestine platform. Armed with up to 154 tactical missiles and equipped with superior communications capabilities, guided-missile submarines are capable of launching missile strikes and supporting Special Operation Forces (Navy SEALs) missions.
