在日米軍岩国基地(山口県)に新設された、戦闘機エンジン点検時の騒音軽減施設｢ハッシュハウス｣(Hush House)。
厚木基地から移転される空母艦載機の騒音を減らす目的で、戦闘機をまるごと格納できる施設を2棟、エンジンテストのみの施設を1棟、計3棟を防衛省予算(約70億円)で建設した。

A hush house is an enclosed, noise-suppressed Fighter jet engine testing facility in which installed or uninstalled jet engines can be run under actual load conditions.
It was built by Japan Ministry of Defense budget 7 billion yen.
