Two beloved food brands become one with help from Office 365

Earlier this year when the two iconic food brands, Kraft Foods Group and the H.J. Heinz Company, merged to become The Kraft Heinz Company, they faced the daunting task of trying to blend two independent cultures, each with their own respective products, processes and technology. Luckily, both companies were Office 365 users and on ‘Day 1’ of the merger every employee shared the @kraftheinzcompany handle. Business continued without productivity disruption—new colleagues were able to find and communicate with each other, see calendars, schedule meetings, and connect and collaborate on Skype for Business. Office 365 also played a crucial role in the critical early weeks of the merger as employees from all over the world were able to share vital documents and data using a new SharePoint site. “Without Office 365, it would have taken months to create a single operating environment, instead of just a few weeks,” says Francesco Tinto, Global Chief Information Officer (CIO) at The Kraft Heinz Company.
