Xiaomi launches 50-inch Mi TV line-up

Chinese technology giant Xiaomi has officially expanded its TV line-up by adding the latest 50-inch Mi to its family. The company launched the Mi TV 4A series back in 2017 and the latest one is its successor and the sixth addition to the series. The starting price of the 50-inch Mi TV is roughly CNY 2,399. Just like most other products launched by Xiaomi, it remains to be seen whether it will be available in all the markets possible.

According to a report published by Gadgets 360, the new model has five different variants and sports numerous exciting features. For starters, the TV packs a 4K UHD-based screen with 3,840 x 2,160 pixels resolution of the display along with a 60HZ refresh rate and support for HDR 10+ HLG.

Featuring a frameless design, the television comes integrated with 10 speakers – out of which, two are wireless satellites located on the rear panel and a subwoofer, to enhance the audio experience. The television comes with extended support for the Dolby Atmos audio technology with roughly 2 up-firing speakers. The company claims that the latest model can offer an immersive 3D sound experience as well.

Furthermore, the latest Xiaomi television features Artificial Intelligence-based recommendations, such as PatchWall. “PatchWall, a UI layer on top of the Android OS, is based on deep learning AI technology. It enables curation of content based on recommendations,” the report by Gadgets 360 states.

Apart from this, the line-up is further powered by a 64-bit Amlogic L962 quad-core processor. In terms of storage, the television offer 2GB of RAM and inbuilt memory worthy of 8GB. In terms of connectivity, the television extends support for Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4/5 GHz dual-band Wi-Fi), Bluetooth 4.2, Dolby, and DTS Audio. Apart from this, The Mi TV 4A also sports a blue light-reducing mode to reduce eye strain problem.
