Description:
In this class Eli the Computer Guy explains the purpose of Wireless Range Extenders and how to use them to expand a wireless network. These easy to use, reasonably priced devices can turn a miserable wireless networking experience into a network that you clienst will be very satisfied with.

Notes:
Wireless Extenders act like Radio Repeaters. They connect to a Wireless Router/ Access Point and then rebroadcast the wireless connection to increase the range of the wireless network.
Wireless Extenders are made by all major Wireless Equipment Vendors (Linksys, Dlink, NetGear, Belkin)
Wireles Extenders are better then they used to be.
Eli would suggest you use Wireless Extenders for residential and micro business clients (Offices of 5 people or fewer)
Some Wireless Extenders include a Hardwired Ethernet port so that you can connect a computer/ device/ or networking switch to allow wired devices to communicate on the wireless network.
Wireless Extenders use the same types of technologies as other Wireless Equipment: MIMO, A/B/G/N/AC/AD, Prioritization. So make sure the Extender you purchase uses the technologies that you feel are appropriate for the environment.
