I needed to find a replacement wireless mouse for my Media Center in my Man Cave bedroom theater since the existing Gyration device I was using was eating batteries like crazy and also had horrible range. The replacement I found was this new wireless trackball which has much better range, is cheaper and easier to operate for someone not used to a Nintendo Wii style remote control. I have used this device for a few days and absolutely love it! The only down fall is the trackball itself will need to be cleaned every once in a while since it is a mechanical device but overall it’s easier to operate with precision then the gyration and allows you to do things like drag and drop. I also picked one up for the Man Cave too so I can kick back in the racing simulator our on the couch and control the beast computer from across the room. Also another big perk of this device is the built in clickable mouse wheel that can be used to navigate webpages and was especially useful in PLeX media server which I use to encode my video sent to the Media Center TV from the Home Server.
