VLOG: Basic Food Prepping Options04:33

Eric discusses some basic food preparation for any unprepared situation. For example if there is a blizzard or blackout – how prepared are you if you have no electricity or running water for a week or more?

Why should I prep? Aren’t “preppers” weirdos?

Ever heard of “better safe than sorry”? Of course you have. We live our lives each and every day not knowing what is going to happen tomorrow, next week, next month or next year. Do you wear your seat belt every day? Why, do you fear you are going to be in a car wreck? You wear your seat belt as a safety precaution, so you are PREPARED in the event you happen to be involved in an accident. Prepping is no different.
I am not saying that we should live in fear that there is going to be a real life ‘Red Dawn’ situation. What I am saying is be prepared for anything — like a natural occurrence. Ice storms, blizzards, blackouts or even thunderstorms sometimes cause you to be without electricity or water for several hours or even several days. You can’t rely on all of the food in your refrigerator to last several days. What if you are snowed in and you can’t just run to the store for more provisions? Being prepared is smart!
