A new project called Unlimited Corridor allows users to feel as though they’re walking down a hallway that never ends when they’re really walking around and around in the same circle, over and over again.
It’s a technological breakthrough and a metaphor!
University of Tokyo researchers came up with the project, which uses an idea called redirected walking to trick users into feeling as though they are making forward progress.
Truly shocking that this isn’t something George Saunders made up.
