Not sure you want to spend $500 on your favorite Master of G Casio Mudmaster? Then try this amazingly affordable Mudmaster homage watch then. This is the review this cool SMAEL watch with lots of video showing in action in TNP. Believe or not, this is a good watch. It has 50M water resistance, simple function, and has an amazing color palette unavailable in the Mudmaster. Though it looks similar, the dumbly named SMAEL watch is actually very different in features and function. Don’t expect high end stuff here: you’ll get two times, an alarm, a stopwatch and that’s about it. But most won’t care and I sure don’t. The important stuff like lightweight, great legibility, and amazing looks are the draw. It’s a good chance to try out the size of this style of watch to see if it works for you and if doesn’t, you’re only out $20!. Amazing watch for the money. Get it while you can.

Thanks to TNPr Todd S for the info below on disabling the SMAEL Mudmaster chime:
“The manual did not correctly state how to turn off the hourly chime. Here’s the process: Here’s how to disable the hourly chime: A = Left Upper button. B = Left Lower button. C = Right Upper button D = Right Lower button. In normal mode, press and keep pressing D. Now press B. You will see weekdays will change to filled or empty blocks (In circle with red arrow in it). Filled = Chime. Empty = No Chime.”
