Titanium is has the HIGHEST strength to density ratio of ANY metallic element. These are also VERY expensive to make. The proto-type production cost to make these is about $80 PER slug.

In this video we shoot three titanium shotgun slugs that were designed and CNC’d by Tim of Tactical G-Code. These weigh considerably less than the mild steel slugs we shot in the first test.

We were more focused on the external ballistics of these, or how they flew through the air after they left the shotgun. This is often overlooked because many people just focus on the impacts, or terminal ballistics. But if a slug is unstable, terminal ballistics goes out the window since you won’t hit what you are shooting at.
