The ’79 Bill Evans’ Astron .40 Gas X-Wing vs the 2015 Airhogs Star Wars X-Wing. Vintage Video.

Published on November 10, 2017

* Only engine speed makes this thing go up! When I modified my Star wars BB-8 Robot, viewers said Airhogs was making X-Wings. Seeing them in Costco last week, I took a chance for $49. The biggest flying tip is this.
The X-wing seemed under powered, but in reality, it has more than enough. Taking off wide open is like full up elevator on this machine, and it can’t tolerate that like other machines. Take off at half throttle only and you’ll be fine. It would be nice to have a notch at half throttle on the “spring Loaded”Stick, and instructions that say that it needs only that much throttle to take off. More than that, stalls and loops.!
Plus, see the Bill Evan’s Aircraft’s Astron 40. gas X-Wings of mine and other flying wings from vintage video. They were fabulously fun to fly back in the day of 1979, and still are!
Thanks kindly for watching.
