Logan from Tek Syndicate found me at World Maker Faire in New York and showed me his OnePlus One Cyanogen phone & claimed it was an iPhone killer & talked me into buying one. I have used iOS for years and have owned just about every iPhone and when I ventured away to Windows Phone I was let down by the lack of app support and general application quality. Android is the middle ground now so let’s see how I like it. Also I 3D printed a Micro to Nano SD card adapter and it worked great, it’s also in the video!
Update 12/13/2014: I ended up getting an iPhone 6, I love the OnePlus One and think it’s a great phone but the app under Cyanogen was horrible and the camera just wasn’t giving me the quality I wanted for my instant posts. If those are not issues for you just about everything else about the phone is better than iPhone, I just wish those two things were not so vital to my daily activities.

Questions & Answers:
Q) What is the biggest let down with the OnePlus One?
A) The camera, it should be fantastic at 13mp and a Sony sensor but all the images with low light are blown out. I think it might be a software problem with exposure settings personally.
Other problems I’ve discovered over time…
1) The app sucks, weird delay when taking each video clip and once you start taking video it won’t let you rotate the camera for other clips. iPhone app is million times better!
2) I’ve already scratched the screen just from having it in my pocket. My iPhone screen didn’t scratch under the same conditions. Which I don’t understand since it’s supposed to be gorilla glass.
