The Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray is a 3.3-inch touchscreen smartie. It’s just 0.1mm thicker than the current iPhone 4 and it comes packing the Sony Bravia Engine seen on the Sony Ericsson Xperia arc.

It may be slim but it’s not lacking in features lurking inside is a 8.1-megapixel camera with Sony’s Exmor R sensor technology. It also has HD video recording talents and there’s a front-facing camera for video calling.

With the updates Android offering there’s all the usual suspects including Android Market Place, GMail, Google Maps and there’s also 300MB expandable memory with an included 4GB micro SD card. The Sony Ericsson Ray release date is set for this autumn and you’ll be able to pick it up in an array of colours from shockig pink to bog-standard black.

Here’s our Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray video hands-on for a first look and a rundown on all the specs and features.
