DIY Solar Air Heater. The “Screen Absorber” Solar Air Heater! Easy DIY. works similar to the solar “pop can” heaters but uses a screen absorber plate in place of the cans. achieves temps equal to the “can heaters”. produces a constant temperature output of 130F+ (with outside air in the mid 40’s). *max. temperature on day of testing 137F (outside air 45F). is a great option if you live in a cool/sunny area. note: an extended step-by-step “Construction Video” of this collector can be found on my youtube channel video page.
