Samsung Galaxy A8 2018 line-up has been unleashed

Samsung has taken the wraps off it’s the latest offering, i.e., Galaxy A8 (2018). The South-Korean technology giant unexpectedly features premium-level specs. The Galaxy A8 line-up consists of two models: Galaxy A8 and A8 Plus, and are among the most intriguing devices put forward by Samsung this year.

As far as the Galaxy A8 is concerned, the handset features a 5.6-inch Super AMOLED display with 1,080 x 2,220 pixels resolution and an aspect ratio of 18:5:9. The Galaxy A8 Plus packs a 6-inch screen. Minimal bezels exist on both the ends of the smartphone. Samsung hasn’t made use of the ‘Infinity’ display technology as yet.

The smartphone goes on to feature two camera lenses on the front panel, each of which features a 16-megapixel and 8-megapixel sensors and an aperture of f/1.9. Numerous additional camera features help complete the photography experience, including beauty mode, blurred background filters, and animated stickers. On the rear panel, the handset packs a 16-megapixel sensor with f/1.7 aperture. According to Digital Trends, the Galaxy A8 smartphone brings the official IP68 water/dust certification. The company also includes their proprietary Virtual Reality (VR) experience with the smartphones. On the storage front, the smartphones sport 4GB of RAM along with 32GB of inbuilt storage. Battery wise, the smartphone packs a 3,500mAh battery along with NFC and Samsung Pay.

The former runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS. However, Android 8.0 Oreo is expected to arrive soon. The color variants available in Galaxy A8 line-up include Gold, Blue, Black and Grey colors.
