Highlights from Principia launch day on 15 December 2015, which saw ESA astronaut Tim Peake travel to the International Space Station together with NASA astronaut Tim Kopra and commander Yuri Malenchenko.
This video shows highlights from the whole launch day starting with preparations at the launch site in Baikonur, Kazakhstan and finished with the crew on board the ISS.
The launch marks the start of Tim Peake’s six-month Principia mission on the International Space Station running over 30 scientific experiments for ESA.
