The NODE sensor from Variable Technologies is a device that provides additional functions to your smartphone. The NODE communicates to your smart phone via Bluetooth 4.0. The NODE has the KORE unit and then add-on modules for different functions. You can check temperature, pressure, use it as a gyroscope, check CO2 levels and measure color levels (Chroma).

From the demo we got, the Chroma sensor was most impressive. Looking to match paint colors in your house? Just hold the NODE up to the wall and it instantly measures the color of your wall and shows the exact match on your phone. The ap can even match up to all the popular paint brands, so you just walk into the store and can order the exact right paint.

The NODE sells for $149 with additional modules coming in around $25-$75. We will try to get our hands on a NODE so we can do full hands-on review.
