MSI GS63VR 7RG Stealth Pro with NVIDIA GTX 1070 Max-Q review
Lisa Gade reviews the 2017 refresh of the slim and light 15.6” MSI Stealth Pro, this time with NVIDIA’s new Max-Q technology and a GTX 1070 dedicated graphics card. Our review loaner came from . On the outside, little has changed with the Stealth Pro (also available as the GS73VR 17.3” model). It has a black aluminum casing, weighs just 3.96 lb. / 1.8 kg and is 17.5mm thick. The laptop runs Windows 10 on the Intel Core i7-7700HQ quad core, 45 watt CPU with 32GB DDR4 RAM and a 512GB SSD plus 1 TB 5400 RPM HDD. This model lists for $2,399. There’s a version with a 256GB SSD and 16GB RAM that will likely be priced around $1800.
This gaming and pro apps laptop has an RGB backlit SteelSeries keyboard, a wealth of ports including Thunderbolt 3, a full HD 120Hz wide gamut matte display with 3ms refresh rate and 3 “Cooler Boost Trinity” fans inside. It competes with the Asus ROG Zephyrus GX501 we recently reviewed as well as the upcoming Acer Predator Triton 700.
