This is some footage I shot of an M18 Hellcat. If you have never been near a tank or artillery piece firing, the sensation is weird. It feels like someone smacks you with a pillow as the sound of the blast hits you. (shockwave)
This EXACT tank was used on R. Lee Ermey’s “Lock N Load” Tank episode and was also used in an FBSRussian video. It really gets around. Here we film it in slow motion at BIG SANDY MACHINE GUN SHOOT.

About the video:
An M18 Hellcat Tank Destroyer shooting some inert rounds with spectators gathered around. With the muzzle-brake on this, the blast from the round is deflected backwarks, and comedy often ensues as hats get blown off. It is very loud, but rest assured, the crowd is safe. Safety is a primary concern at these events.
This was at Big Sandy in Arizona
-Filmed at 600 and 300 FPS with a high speed camera. You can see the round on some of the shots, and is painted bright yellow.
