Unveiled at the 2017 New York Auto Show, the Lucid Air Alpha Speed Car EV prototype is the fastest electric car ever, reaching a self limited 217 mph. That’s on par with the Ferrari LaFerrari.
Lucid Motors plans to start selling The Lucid Air Alpha in 2019 with a base model priced at around $60,000. That gets you a rear-wheel drive sedan with a 240-mile range and 400hp. The top of the line model will boast 1,000 horsepower with a range of 400 miles.
