We go hands-on with the all-new LG G4! It’s 5.5 inches of quantum dot ceramic leather awesomeness. If it looks familiar, it should. LG has kept the same styling as the G3. It’s got the same 5.5 inch IPS LCD Display, and all the physical buttons are still on the back of the phone. It’s easy to look at the specs, and at the phone and see nothing more than a minor iteration on last year’s offering. Once you’re holding the G4 you start to get a feel for what is new this year. LG’s Quantum Dot technology means that colors show up truer to life than ever before. Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808, 3 GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and a removeable 3,000 mAh battery. There is no quick charge capability here, and the only wireless charging you’ll find is with one of LG’s folio cases. The Camera is another big deal here. LG is quick to say that it will compete with, if not outperform the Galaxy S6. Some of the fantastic features here include full gesture mode for selfies, HD Panorama mode, color sensing technology, and a full manual shooting mode. Out of the box the G4 is running Android 5.1 with a new custom interface. There is some continued improvement here, and it’s got more of a Material Design feel. The regular backing on the phone is a plastic pop out plate, but there will also be a leather backed option as well.
