Sony is expected to take the wraps off its Xperia XZ Pro smartphone at the MWC event scheduled to take place next month. If the information detailed in the leaked pictures actually turn out to be true then the handset sports a rectangular shape with a bezel-heavy display. The display located on the front panel runs from edge to edge. The pictures first showed up on a Chinese website called, My Drivers.

The smartphone is shown to feature a 5.7-inch 4K OLED display. “While Sony’s Xperia XZ Premium had a 4K display, its panel was IPS LCD, so the Xperia XZ Pro looks to have a display that will offer better colors and deeper blacks than the previous Sony smartphones,” reports Trusted Reviews. The smartphone is also expected to support High Dynamic Range (HDR) technology. It is the same feature that was found on Samsung’s 2017 flagship Galaxy S8 smartphone.

Apart from this, it is also speculated that the Sony Xperia XZ Pro will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 system-on-chip and will offer 6GB of RAM. Moreover, the handset will run on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo right out of the box. On the storage front, the device is expected to carry 64GB of inbuilt memory.

The device will be home to a 3,420mAh battery that will run for 24 hours on a single charge, depending on the kind of usage. Camera wise, the smartphone will sport a dual rear camera set-up with an 18-megapixel and a 12-megapixel sensor along with a 13-megapixel front shooter as well.

As mentioned previously, Sony is expected to launch its Xperia XZ smartphone during the MWC, 2018 event. Additional details regarding this matter will be made available online soon enough.
