HMD Global’s Chief Product Officer, Juho Sarvikas has confirmed that the company has begun the official rollout of Android 8.0 Oreo (beta version) for its Nokia 6 users in the Indian market. If you wish to experience the Android 8.0 Oreo beta version, then you can register on the Beta Labs’ official website for the same. Interested Nokia 6 owners are advised to note that since this is not the final version, the software update might consist of problems.

Like mentioned previously, Juho Sarvikas made the confirmation of the rollout on his official Twitter account. He stated that the commercial release of Android 8.0 Oreo update was “well on track.”

“We are starting today Oreo Beta Labs roll out for #Nokia6 in India. I understand that some of you may have been waiting for this. Remember that Beta Labs is a test platform and commercial release is well on track. Please jump in and give us your feedback,” Sarvikas’ tweet reads. According to a report published by India Today, all the Nokia 6 users may not receive the update. In order to receive the update, one must get themselves registered with Oreo Beta Labs.

To recall, Nokia began the registration for Oreo Beta Labs late last year. Those who were interested in receiving the latest update were required to sign up with the Nokia mobile beta labs on their official website. After doing so, the users would receive the beta build as an OTA update after 12 hours or so. It is not known exactly when Nokia will release the final version of Oreo in the market.
