Scottish born photojournalist Harry Benson arrived in America with the Beatles in 1964 and knew he would stay. Harry’s power point presentation followed by Q & A will highlight his 60 year career as a photojournalist. Under contract to LIFE Magazine from 1968 until it closed, Harry now photographs for Town & Country, Vice Magazine and Quest among others.

As Harry shows photographs he will tell what it was like to photograph the last eleven American presidents–from Eisenhower to Obama; to be next to Senator Robert Kennedy the night he was assassinated; in the room with Richard Nixon when he resigned; on the Civil Rights Meredith March with Martin Luther King, Jr., next to Mrs. King at her husband’s funeral; and on clandestine maneuvers with the IRA and the KKK. Harry was there when the Berlin Wall went up and when it came down, and has photographed the Gulf War and gone undercover in Afghanistan.
His photographs of celebrities include everyone from Greta Garbo, Elizabeth Taylor, Frank Sinatra, Jack Nicholson, The Who, The Rolling Stones, Dolly Parton, Muhammad Ali, Bobby Fischer and Michael Jackson to Bruce Springsteen, Kate Moss, Brad Pitt, Amy Winehouse, Tommy Lee Jones, Andy Warhol, Jackie Kennedy and Queen Elizabeth II.
