GALLIUM Tipped BULLETS – The SABOTEUR’S Tool?

Published on March 24, 2017

I probably am asked to shoot mercury out of a gun 20 times a day.
I’m curious too, but could you imagine the EPA fines, and prison time? So, instead of mercury, let’s try gallium.

What happens when we shoot gallium-tipped bullets at aluminum? Several viewers made this suggestion so I gave it a try. Our first gallium bullets video, we shot this round at a 5lb gummy bear:

Gallium is corrosive to some metals like aluminum and its alloys. Will enough of the gallium stick to the heatsink to cause serious damage over time?

In an upcoming video, I will add drops of gallium to this same heatsink to show how it corrodes it. (just to prove to doubters that it WILL corrode and we weren’t using some fake heatsink or something)
