Meet the “Risky Guys,” urban adventurers who have been crawling around the ruins of an abandoned Soviet spacecraft.

Located in a deserted hangar in Baikonur, Kazakhstan, the spacecraft was part of the Soviet Buran space program, which aimed to compete with America’s space shuttle program and was discontinued after the collapse of the USSR.

The program ran from 1974 to 1993, and included space shuttles that were never completed. But now adventurers from around the world can come to see what’s left of Buran, getting a glimpse into a long-ago chapter in the rivalry between the U.S. and the Soviet Union.
