What to expect at Detroit Auto Show

Here’s a look at the complete time-table of all the major events scheduled to take place today. Starting today at the North American International Auto Show, one will get a glimpse of some of the most amazing innovations made to date. Take a look.

Detroit Auto Show

Day 1

6 p.m.

According to a report by Detroit News, Chevrolet is going to take the stage to launch the brand new 2019 Silverado – the first redesigned vehicle since the time its competitor Ford F-150 went all-aluminum.

6:30 p.m.

The Gallery of ultra-luxury automobiles from the likes of Aston Martin, Porsche, Lamborghini, Bentley, Ferrari and others will be showcased at Cobo –  an open event with possible dinner.

Day 2

12”30 p.m.

AutoMobili-D, the second annual exposition on the emerging aspects of autos and high-technology, begins at Cobo. 

1:30 p.m.

Elaine Chao, secretary of the Department of Transportation, will take the stage to talk about innovations and the automobile industry.

4:30 p.m.

Ford is expected to take the wraps off the latest Ford Ranger. It is rumored to be a mid-sized pick-up that will be reintroduced after over six years as the line-up was discontinued back in 2011.

8 p.m.

Volkswagen is expected to introduce its latest Jetta compact sedan – which is pretty much, the world’s best-selling car. Along with them, Mercedes will take the wraps off their AMG CLS53 hybrid sedan, the two-door AMG E53 Coupe and Cabriolet, and an updated G-Class.

Day 3

7:55 a.m.

This is when the North American Car and Utility and Truck of the Year Awards are going to be announced, with three finalists already in each of the categories.

9:05 a.m.

Fiat Chrysler unveils the new Ram 1500. 

10:35 a.m.

Nissan is expected to show a big three-row concept vehicle, the X-Motion.

12:05 p.m.

Hyundai premieres the next-generation Veloster.

1:05 p.m.

Toyota rolls out an all-new Avalon sedan.

7 p.m.

The U.S. gets its first look at the 641-horsepower Lamborghini SUV.
