The first-ever Privacy Gift Shop is now open for business in New York City. Stealth Wear, a project by artists/fashion designers Adam Harvey & Johanna Bloomfield, seeks to use fashion to combat omnipresent surveillance. The work, which includes metallic T-shirts, transmitter-jamming cellphone cases and RFID-blocking wallet liners, is currently on sale in NYC’s New Museum. Is it an outlandish fashion statement, or a forward-thinking business opportunity?
