In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to use Terminal and a USB drive to create a live USB that can boot any Mac into Ubuntu. Ubuntu is a Linux distribution that can save failed hard drives, recover passwords, or provide a secure Desktop environment without ever installing a single file on your computer.
There is no need to install any additional software since we will be using Terminal, just be sure to back up all of the data on your USB drive because this process will wipe it clean.
