After losing the first two rounds against Brunson, Romero finally took over in the third, battering a retreating Brunson with one haymaker after another. Finally Brunson went down and stayed there, which is when Romero pounced with an unrelenting series of elbows to the body, some of which seemed perilously close to the illegal 12-to-6 variety.
