Apple usually releases one new phone model a year. This year they released two — the iPhone 8 and the iPhone X. Here’s how they differ in their screen size, unlocking mechanism (Touch ID vs. Face ID), camera, emojis (regular vs. the new Animojis), and price and release.
The iPhone 8 launches Sept. 22 and starts at $699. The iPhone X launches Nov. 3 at $999.
