Apple AirPods are sold out for the next two months

Apple took the wraps off its 10th-year-anniversary smartphone, iPhone X in September this year. The handset featured a bezel-less front panel along with a dual rear camera and a facial recognition software among other significant specifications. The Cupertino technology giant also made an additional Bluetooth accessory, the wireless AirPods for a starting price of $159. Unfortunately for those planning on buying it for the holiday season, the wireless earbuds are already out of stock. They are not expected to be restocked until January at least.

According to USA Today, e-commerce websites such as Best Buy and Target showcase the Apple AirPods as being out of stock. At the same time, the AT&T online store guarantees a two-day delivery but at an additional cost of $14.95 (which is identified as being AT&T’s delivery fee).

The Tim Cook-led firm has long faced a somewhat tricky time while trying to get customers to purchase AirPods, which were introduced in 2016. They met quite a delay even during their time of launch. Apple AirPods were scheduled to arrive in October 2016. However, they were delayed until December. In 2016 as well, much of the possible holiday sale was given a miss. The company has been trying to meet the growing demands of the consumers ever since.

Creative Strategies analyst, Tim Bajarin, was reported by USA Today as saying, “It’s been the hottest of all the wireless earbuds for months.” He doesn’t feel surprised that AirPods have been sold out in stores again as the product has struck a chord with people primarily due to the affordable price and sound quality. All the iPhone devices launched since 2016 do not feature the 3.5mm headphone jack.

While the handset comes accompanied with earphones that fit into the lightning port, it does end up requiring the purchase of a Bluetooth or wireless replacement.
