Android copying Apple features? Here’s what will happen next

Published on April 19, 2018

Apple took the wraps off its flagship iPhone X smartphone last year. The device came featuring some of the most impressive features. The smartphone also further went on to pack a profoundly stunning design as well. Therefore, it does not come across as a surprise that most Android players end up following Apple’s footsteps when it comes to integrating newer features into their flagship offering as well. However, it would be silly to expect an Android vendor to copy the exact same design as its Apple counterpart blatantly. Much to the surprise of most, most of the Android players have ended up copying the same model as has appeared on the Apple iPhone X smartphone. According to a report published by BGR, “Almost every single Android phone company in the world either has stolen Apple’s design or is in the process of stealing it.” Notably, this setting goes on to include most aspects from a no-name Chinese smartphone brand to some of the biggest names in the smartphone industry at the moment. The list includes Huawei as well as LG.

In fact, the one major smartphone manufacturer that still hasn’t copied the iPhone X smartphone is Samsung. However, it appears that the South Korean technology giant will be breaking its streak of not copying the Apple iPhone X smartphone. According to a report by BGR, “This shouldn’t be much of a surprise, of course, since Samsung wrote the book on copying Apple’s iPhone designs.” Notably, the Cupertino technology giant was not the first smartphone manufacturer to go on to launch a smartphone that sports a notch on the front panel. Before this, many other Android smartphone manufacturers have gone on to feature the particular setting. For example, LG went on to remove the top corner of the smartphone. There was also the Essentials’ PH-1 smartphone that ended up featuring a small-rounded notch for the camera system. It goes without saying that Apple’s iPhone X smartphone packs a unique oblong notch. However, it appears to be unlike anything else. Moreover, the situation was made worse as almost every other Android smartphone manufacturer ended up copying the feature.

Apple’s display on the iPhone X smartphone ends up featuring a notch that makes enough room for the ear speaker feature. The smartphone also goes on to pack a True Depth camera system as well as sensor arrays that go on to enable the individual Face ID software system. The company decided to integrate the face ID solution to replace the Touch ID on the Apple iPhone X smartphone. In response to this aspect, Apple had reportedly said that it would be going all in when it comes to pushing the Face ID feature forward.

Much to the surprise of most, most of the Android players have ended up copying the same design as has appeared on the Apple iPhone X smartphone.  In total, there are about three new iPhone models that end up debuting in September. The upcoming smartphones will go on to feature the Face ID feature instead of the Touch ID. It goes without saying that Apple’s iPhone X smartphone packs a somewhat unique oblong notch. However, it appears to be unlike anything else. Moreover, the situation was made worse as almost every other Android smartphone manufacturer ended up copying the feature.

In other words, they won’t pack notches on top of their respective display specifications. It seems like Android smartphone manufacturers are now spending most of their time to copy a design that might not end up appearing a year from now.
