Further work on the “over-the-barrel” air powered arrow shooters has just raised the bar for portable, muscle operated arrow/bolt shooters: This lightweight (2.5 lb) airbow shoots a heavy (50 oz) aluminum and steel arrow at 246 feet per second. It beats the most expensive and powerful commercially made crossbows by a huge margin.
