10 Reasons I Hate Inside the Waistband Carry by Nutnfancy04:33

Don’t forget the number rule of a gunfight. That sets the stage for another fascinating TNP discussion on carrying a concealed pistol. What’s the best way? The vast majority of CCW, CCP guys will run an IWBC (Inside the Waistband Carry) system. For sure this is the fastest way to get to your gun in an emergency defensive situation. A properly fitted, high quality IWBC system will work in daily, high percentage carry life. However the IWBC has some distinct and real disadvantages that somehow have escaped the “gun media” as group has descended and crowned this method the “best and smartest” way to carry your handgun. Time to balance the discussion. Based on decades of my own carrying (Glocks, Kahrs, S&W Snubbies, Keltecs, Beretta 950 & Model 21, Serling 302), I point out some serious drawbacks to IWBC. Brandishing, discomfort, clothing sizing, belt selection and importance, costs, taking dumps, bump checks and more are covered. In Rule of Law where gun presentation will be infinitesimally small for civilians, other carry methods such as the under-shirt Galco Classic Lite should be considered. A well-chosen carry method is used daily and achieves “gear transparency.”
